A few simple habits will help keep your jewellery looking its best.
Put jewellery on last
Apply perfume, lotion, sunscreen and hairspray before putting on jewellery. Let products dry first and avoid spraying directly onto a piece.
Keep it dry
Remove jewellery before bathing, swimming, exercising or household cleaning. Avoid prolonged contact with water, sweat, salt and cleaning chemicals.
Clean gently
After wearing, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners, toothpaste, soaking, steam and ultrasonic cleaning unless the product’s care instructions specifically allow them. Take extra care around stones, pearls and decorative settings.
Store each piece separately
Keep pieces in a dry pouch or jewellery box, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Separate chains to reduce tangling and avoid rubbing pieces against one another.
Handle shapes and clasps with care
Open fastenings gently. Do not stretch chains, force a cuff wider or repeatedly bend a piece. Adjust only designs described as adjustable.
Understand the materials
Read the individual product description for its material, finish and stone details. “Gold-tone” and “silver-tone” describe colour; they do not mean solid gold or sterling silver. Do not assume a piece is waterproof, tarnish-proof, nickel-free or suitable for sensitive skin unless that is expressly stated for the product.
If you have a known metal sensitivity, ask us about the specific design before ordering. Stop wearing a piece if it causes irritation.
Decorative eyewear
Our decorative eyewear is a fashion accessory. It is not prescription eyewear or protective eyewear, and no UV protection is claimed.
